About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Manager to join our Just Jeans Buying team in our high performing Denim department! This role is designed to support the Merchandise Manager across all aspects of the denim buyership and will be responsible for understanding the brand target market and assisting with the design and selection of commercial product consistent with seasonal trends and brand direction. Responsibilities
Partner with the buying team to build and execute seasonal ranges from the ground up
Manage the garment development process, including appropriate selection of fabric, trims, block colours and prints
Develop buying plans which engage our customer
Benchmark our competitors in order to continually inspect and optimise our product range
Research trends, product innovation & competitors
Negotiate with the supply base to deliver value for money, quality products that achieve product margin targets
Liaise with our direct suppliers across a number of countries and manage the critical path and production plan
Achieve budgeted sales and margin through continuous review of performance, market opportunities and product trends
Constantly review performance and future range inspirations to proactively drive the brand’s competitive edge
Skills & Experience
Proven buying and product development experience
Previous denim experience is advantageous
Demonstrated experience in managing production and the critical path
Experience liaising with direct vendors across multiple geographies
Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills
Confident in understanding budgets and margin calculations
Adaptable approach with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Adobe Illustrator proficiency is advantageous
