About the Role
 
We are currently seeking a part time Quality Assurance Technician to join our Just Jeans team on a permanent basis! Reporting into the Senior Product Manager, this integral role works closely with the Menswear and Childrenswear Product teams to ensure that each garment is created to the design specifications and quality standards of the brand.
 
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring high quality standards are met
  • Working with the Product Team to understand and interpret styling instructions 
  • Chair fit sessions ensuring buyers and QA comments are collated for the supplier
  • Providing technical advice on suitability of styling and fabrics 
  • Liaising with off shore and local suppliers
  • Receiving, analysing and approving fabric reports, graded specs and the appropriate care labelling from suppliers
  • Giving clear and detailed reports, direction and feedback to suppliers
  • Filing and updating relevant computer data 
  • Assisting Product Coordinators with CAD illustrations
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Garment Technologist.
  • Multi product experience is required.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator.
  • A sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, garment grading and a full understanding of the fit process.
  • Previous experience with a Curve range is advantageous
  • Experience in fabric testing and understanding of garment construction & technology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills is essential.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
