The Role
We are looking for a commercially minded Retail Planner to join our high performing team. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will manage the lifecycle of your department from initial budget through to final markdown. You’ll partner closely with the Buying team to curate ranges that drive profit and brand growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy: Develop and manage seasonal financial plans (Sales, Margin, and Stock) for your designated department.
- WSSI Management: Maintain and update Weekly Stock Sales Intake (WSSI) to manage terminal stock and maximize open-to-buy opportunities & mitigate risks.
- Range Building: Partner with Buyers to develop a balanced range that aligns with the brand strategy, seasonality and meets financial KPIs.
- Analysis: Provide in-season and post-season deep-dive analysis, identifying future opportunities and risks.
- In-Season Management: Optimize stock flow, manage intake, and lead strategic markdown activity to maintain healthy inventory levels.
Who You Are
- The Analyst: You have a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in retail planning or merchandise management (apparel experience preferred).
- The Strategist: You don't just see numbers; you see opportunities. You can translate data into actionable commercial advice.
- The Tech Expert: You are an Excel expert and have experience with planning software (e.g., TM1, MFP, or similar).
- The Collaborator: You thrive in a "Buyer/Planner" partnership and can influence stakeholders at all levels.
