About the Role

Planners are integral to the success of Jacqui E. Reporting to the Assistant Planning Manager, this position is responsible for strategically driving the business through effective planning, assortment building and reactive trading. This role offers a fantastic pathway into a Merchandise planning role by working within a supportive to team to broaden your planning knowledge and build management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working with your product manager to deliver the planned sales and profitability of the department through effective planning, analysis and trading decisions.
  • Build seasonal budgets in conjunction with the product team.
  • Build, implement and manage assortment plans to achieve department financial KPIs
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the financial projection
  • Undertake appropriate pre & post review preparation, analysis, presentation and subsequent strategy build and execution
  • Adapting and adjusting the departmental strategy based on ongoing performance of trade.
  • Control the department stock levels and weeks cover to maximise stock productivity and minimise aged stock.
  • Building relationships and working collaboratively with Buying, Marketing, Visual Merchandising and Retail to deliver commercial, successful outcomes for the brand.
  • Demonstrate a commercial mindset through seeking new initiatives and opportunities to deliver brand growth.
  • Work closely with the Inventory Management team to ensure stock levels are optimised to drive sales and profitability

Required Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in merchandise planning
  • Expertise in sales forecasting, budgeting, option planning, managing OTB and inventory management
  • Passion for retail with an analytical mind
  • Has an effective communication style with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Demonstrates a great understanding of the Jacqui E customer to reflect this in decision making
